Oh my Malkovich! Our resident Charlie Kaufman scholar, Brooks Brown, returns for the first major Kaufman feature release, Malkovich. The trio discusses the writerโs humble beginnings in comedy, his collaboration with Spike Jonze, and ultimately what separates his early scripts from his later scripts and direction. Itโs truly a Malkovich you donโt want to miss, Malkovich!

Several of your disagreements with Brooks feel legitimately uncomfortable. I remember the same awkwardness about the Synecdoche episode.
