So, on the first page, I eyeballed their original colors and picked similar greys/whites to match, without it getting washed out, and then I just eyedrop that first page to keep it accurate. I wouldโve used a gradient map to color pic from, but I feel that didnโt get the actual monochromatic look I was wanting. When it comes to shading, I use a lot of multiple layers and dumb rules like. Ezraโs โblushโ in greyscale is just his base grey set to 50% on a multiply layer. I use the original blue-grey from the base of Ezraโs horns to highlight their hair/skin/etc.

For instance since the skin tones of both characters are similar Iโd imagine that gets challenging. Sorry super random lol.
