His parents blamed themselves for not giving the kids a car with Car Play. So they bought the kids a brand new Subaru. But the kid bought himself a used Camaro and then got pulled over for going 130MPH (over double the speed limit) got charged with a felony and license suspended. Scary and stupid for kids get themselves into.

2023-06-17 15:48:49 +0000 UTCFinally getting around to listening to this and yeah I'm pretty sure half the school remembers the "funniest moment from our final year" so I'll share ๐ We had a bus area on one side of the school that everyone who took a bus home would wait at for the school buses to arrive in the afternoon. So pretty much 600 teenagers staring down the road waiting for their bus. My cohort had this one kid who was just an ass, wasn't interested in school, bullied people, but he was that kid with quite a troubled background so most of us just felt sorry for him. Anyway, for his 17th birthday his parents bought him his dream car (which isn't a thing people normally do here, only the majorly spoilt kids would get given any car). His parents bought him a Nissan Skyline and he was absolutely over the damn moon. You can probably guess where this was going. Literally the first day he drove it to school, less than 24h of owning it, he totalled it after school right outside the bus area in front of half the school. He was fine and didn't injure anyone or damage anything except a power pole and his ego. But the whole school, teachers included were basically crying of laughter because we'd all placed bets as to how long before that happened. He rocked up the next day with a brand new Audi and had the audacity to complain about it. Ahhh people giving kids expensive toys. Always goes well ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Edit: we did time-capsule letters to ourselves in our final year. Wrote them on the first day, and they were given to us at graduation. Mine just said: lol did you live this long? Noice.
