2024-04-16 20:05:48 +0000 UTCHehe he called us sausages ๐๐ I teared up tbh, I love the friendship they formed from this show too! โก The amount of respect they showed was just unreal, keeping so much of the choreography and lyrics the same when they had an opportunity to completely stylize it in their own color. which they STILL did perfectly. โก

2024-04-14 09:53:52 +0000 UTCAnd this performance just shows how it cemented Ateez as the Kings of Covers. This was their very first appearance on Immortal Songs, and their very first win as well. Just some info about the episode: this episode aired August 29, 2020, so they were midway through the pandemic. As such they changed how the show was filmed because they couldn't have a live studio audience voting in house. Starting February 15, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the votes were done by 20 special judges (mostly KBS employees). They scored the artist, but the score was not shown on screen and instead a light was used to indicate the winner. Since the end of the pandemic, they have gone back to the live studio audience voting, and Ateez was on the first episode where they brought the audience back (that is the Nillili Mambo/Fantastic Baby mashup episode). Although Mingi was in this episode, he went on hiatus not long after, and so Ateez's next several appearances are Mingi-less, just FYI. I'm just glad he's back now!! I'm really looking forward to watching you react to all of their Immortal Songs performances, they are just fabulous!!

2024-04-14 05:28:55 +0000 UTCOh man, you guys have to check out Be My Lover that they did with KJK. It's SO FUN. Is it a technically great song? Debatable. But it's 100% pure pop fluff fun.

2024-04-14 00:36:52 +0000 UTCI think you are the only reactors that actually know the Turbo version and can appreciate the differences with the Ateez version. They did a great job bringing that Ateez sound into it but still keeping elements of the original including the choreo! I think Ateez fits perfectly on this type of show where the can really flex their performance chops. I can.t wait for you to see the rest.

smiles always
2024-04-13 23:05:03 +0000 UTCFun fact! This episode aired before their Thanxx comeback, and so they gave a lil spoiler for the Thanxx choreo in this performance during the dance break after the first chorus. Itโs the move where their arms are straight and they swing them vertically. I know they included tiny spoilers for the choreo for an upcoming comeback in at least one other Immortal Songs performance, Iโll be on the lookout as you continue to react to them ๐

2024-04-13 21:57:42 +0000 UTCItalian Atiny here!! Yes it's pretty hilarious and a tiny bit cringe honestly...I adore Ateez but I really can't with this song๐คฃ๐คฃ I used to sing it in kindergarten...like it's huge in Italy, I don't think there's an italian child who doesn't know this song ๐. I have to say they did a good job...it's just so strange to me...

2024-04-13 21:51:16 +0000 UTCItalian atinys, apparently, find this hilarious. I was scrolling through the comments on the official video (and this was a long time ago so feel free to correct me anyone if I'm misremembering) and a couple of them compared it to seeing a creepy hard rock version of baby shark, because this is originally an Italian childrens song. All that aside, I'm so glad you reacted to this and plan to do the rest. I'm excited for your insight.
