The Daihatsu Hijet is a microvan produced by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu. The name βHijetβ has been in use for Daihatsuβs Kei trucks and vans since 1960, over two decades before Toyota took control. βHijetβ, when transliterated into Japanese, is very similar to βMidgetβ, one of Daihatsuβs other mini-trucks.
