2025-08-27 18:27:17 +0000 UTCYes they really played and actually did several tours. Saw Spinal Tap in Seattle live at the Bumbershoot festival in 1984โฆthey had the big skull head hung up above the stage, did lots of gags from the movie onstage but were a perfectly capable band!
