3 ComfyUI Settings I Wish I Knew Sooner

1. โ๏ธ Lock the Right Seed
Weโll be using the search bar in the settings menu (bottom left).
Search: "widget control mode" โ Switch to Before
By default, the KSamplerโs current seed is the one used on the next generation, not the one used last.
Changing this lets you lock in the seed that generated the image you just made (changing from increment or randomize to fixed), so you can experiment with prompts, settings, LoRAs, etc. without losing that exact output.
2. ๐จ Slick Dark Theme
Default ComfyUI looks like wet concrete.
Go to Settings โ Appearance โ Color Palettes. I personally use Github. Now ComfyUI looks like slick black marble.
3. ๐งฉ Perfect Node Alignment
Search: "snap to grid" โ Turn it on.
Keep "snap to grid size" at 10 (or tweak to taste).
Default ComfyUI lets you place nodes anywhere, even if theyโre one pixel off. This makes workflows way cleaner.
