Bless you with your confusion over River Song. :D I love that scene between her and Rory. Alex Kingston plays it beautifully. Fun fact: I stopped watching Doctor Who at Season 6 Episode 3 (because I really disliked S06E03 and oddly 1 and 2 didn't hook me in...) - then went back to it a year later and caught up. I cannot understand WTF was wrong with me. This premiere is probably the strongest of all 11 seasons now I look at it again. And I prefer Season 6 to 5 overall. Still not the heady heights of 4 for me though.

Fun fact; the guy who plays older Canton is the real life father of the guy who plays younger Canton :)

The aging makeup/effects for the older doctor was subtle, as was the acting between the two versions. The older one quieter, more world-weary. The younger/current one more animated. I thought that was well done without calling attention to it

There's a weird cut at just before the 33 minute mark? Also this was the first premiere I got to watch when it aired, and it ended up being the first two-part season opener D: Waiting a week for the next episode sucked!

When River tells Rory that she’s going to see the doctor and he won’t remember a thing about her, is HER future. A future you know very well😏😏. And she said she THINKS it’s gonna kill her. She wasn’t far off on that prediction AT ALL lol. Wondered if you caught that. Wonderful reaction this is my top 5 two parter.

I didn’t know who slenderman was back then... but now? Accurate.

River told Rory that a day is coming in her future when the Doctor won’t recognize her and she thinks that will be the death of her. Ring any bells? I have to watch this again just to see your shock at the Doctor regenerating.
