Piccolo would of died, and there would of been no one left on earth, and with Piccolo dead then they wouldn't be able to use the dragon balls to bring anyone back. They drove Buuhan into a corner to make him desperate to do the absorption attack. That's why when their back were turned to the buu goo behind them they said "Alright, this better work." they sensed it behind them (obviously) but they weren't sure if their barrier plan would work but it was their only shot. Genius move by them.

2024-09-02 10:39:03 +0000 UTCYo Mike, that barrier was gokus idea in the fusion. Remember, vegeta never got to see anyone get absorbed and then buu transform but goku saw it all. So in Vegitos character it was goku who thought of the barrier.

I often wonder if Vegito decided to try and save the others inside Buu first before killing him because he wasnāt sure if the dragon could actually bring Gohan and the others Buu absorbed back. Gohan and the others were technically part of Buu at that point so could the dragon balls actually bring just them back? Or would it also wish Buu back because they were technically part of him now. Itās been shown in the past that the dragons magic canāt overpower those whose power/magic exceed his. Just a thought.

2024-09-01 16:23:56 +0000 UTC@MacJordanT it is textbook DBZ, but even worse. lol those other examples you named all make more sense than a Potarra fusion literally being shoehorned into the show just so fans can be hype about seeing Goku and Vegeta come together. If youāre going to do that, at least have Vegito be the person to actually beat Buu. Not to mention how the saga manages to retcon itself several times

In namek it was a revived and Nail fused Piccolo, then a powered up Vegeta. Then in the Android saga, both of Vegetaās Super Saiyan level ups were shit on just a few episodes later by 18 and Perfect Cell, and Trunksā power up meant nothing as well. Same with Piccolo fusing with Kami. This is just textbook DBZ lol

Gotenks is virtually useless, as well as Ultimate Gohan and Vegito. They may be cool and have cool scenes, but they accomplished nothing. These are my biggest criticisms about the Buu Saga. The writing just fucking suuuuucks bro lol
